Lucy is 83% foundation. We researched and registered her younger full sister, Mujer Dewey Dial JW, with the NFQHA. She is registered buckskin although her leg points are not true black. She is very striking to look at with her doe eyes, sharply chiseled facial features, frosted white hairs over her black mane and no white markings. Lucy is one of five fillies that we purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses as a weanling because her mare line is closely related to several of our other proven saddle horses. She is the smallest of the Grantier mares and is a very typey quarter horse. You can read more about her sire on our main mares page. Lucy was showed at regular halter as a yearling in 4-H and was schooled at halter through trail obstacles. She has been calm in all situations to date. Lucy was injured in 2008 and not started under saddle until 2009. She is a really nice mare and one that we would have loved to keep riding but we are excited to see what she can produce as well. These pictures of her were taken her 2 and 3-year-old summers. We will add pictures as we get them taken. Lucy foaled Laredo, a nice stud colt by TRR Paddys Texas Gin on 4-30-10 and she will be pasture exposed to him again for a 2011 foal.
