Thanks Brent!

Lucy is 83% foundation.  We researched and registered her younger full sister, Mujer Dewey Dial JW, with the NFQHA.  She is registered buckskin although her leg points are not true black.  She is very striking to look at with her doe eyes, sharply chiseled facial features, frosted white hairs over her black mane and no white markings.  Lucy is one of five fillies that we purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses as a weanling because her mare line is closely related to several of our other proven saddle horses. She is the smallest of the Grantier mares and is a very typey quarter horse.  You can read more about her sire on our main mares page.  Lucy was showed at regular halter as a yearling in 4-H and was schooled at halter through trail obstacles.  She has been calm in all situations to date.  Lucy was injured in 2008 and not started under saddle until 2009.  She is a really nice mare and one that we would have loved to keep riding but we were too excited to see what she would produce.  She is also the photography model for many of the hidden horse images on our website along with her paternal sister, Mujer Lady Dial JW.  See if you can find her!

Lucy was started successfully under saddle and moved into the broodmare bunch as was intended.  Her foals have been 2010 bay stallion Paddys Gin Laredo JW, 2011 bay stallion Paddys Gin Luke JW  and 2012 sorrel stallion Paddys Gin Skip JW all by TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex.  Lucy was pasture exposed to JK Jay Reed for 2013 and had a solid chestnut colt, Hokey Pokey Reed JW. By this time we were LOVING her cross with Tex and put her with him for the next 5 years resulting in 4 foals.  She had 2014 beautiful palomino filly, Paddys Gin Sash JW, 2015 foal bay stallion, Paddys Gin Bert JW, missed 2016 due to an injury, 2017 bay stallion, Paddys Gin Simba JW and 2018 beautiful buckskin stallion, Paddys Gin Chile JW.  Those were all outstanding foals and amazing that she produced all four possible color combinations from this mating. Bay, sorrel, palomino, buckskin!

Lucy is herself now a producer with the show record of Paddys Gin Skip JW and along with her full sister, Mujer Dewey Dial JW this made her an excellent established mare to give to Top Gun Whiskey by Paddys Irish Whiskey for his first foal crop.  Top Gun is both an AQHA and NRCHA World Qualifier in reining, team roping and reined cowhorse.  He continues to be on the road showing. 2019 Top Gun Mulan JW is an exciting buckskin filly. We will be keeping Mulan and hope to show her in the future.  She will be our true test run on Top Gun foals and fun for our trainer Matt Schlegel with Schlegel Horse Training as he rode and showed both Skip and Top Gun and has started other Lucy foals as well. Lucy was exposed back to Top Gun for 2020 and had a buckskin filly, Top Gun Guthrie JW. She is exposed back to him again for a 2021 foal and had a buckskin stallion, Top Gun Sedge JW.
