Thanks Heather!

Born 7-23-14. ‘Boon’ is unique colored buckskin with a star and disconnected strip and no other white on him. We are very happy with the outcome of this pairing. We purchased his dam, Little Sapa, fall of 2009 knowing she would make a nice match for any of our stallions and hoping for her to produce fillies with a little more speed for us to retain in our program and cross back on the other stallions. Take a good look at the speed pedigree on Boon’s bottom side.  According to Circle Dot Horses, Mia Cash Too was a gentle, AAA Stakes Placed Winner with a nice disposition who ran the 3rd fastest qualifying time in the All-American Derby and sired foals that went on to be race horses, barrel horses, arena horses and also had plenty of cow.  Little Sapa leaves Dash For Cash on Boon’s papers and also gives him Three Bars and Jet Deck through both Easy Jet and Jet Smooth.  Boon’s sire, Walter O Rielly aka Radar, is new to our program and this is his second foal crop. We were looking for a foundation Driftwood bred stallion to hopefully get some replacement fillies out of some of our better mares.  Radar is a 90.234% foundation bred perlino stallion who goes to King P-234 ten times, to Driftwood four times with strong doses of Joe Reed, Three Bars and a little Doc Bar.  Radar is a 16 hand horse with a huge stride and a gentle personality.  We are very pleased with this colt. His pedigree is the epitome of rodeo performance and using type horses.  He is muscular already and will be stout. Boon will have speed and has a gorgeous look about him. Both his dam and sire are Herda N/N consequently Boon is too.

UPDATE 12-11-14  Boon has turned very dark, almost black.  It will be pretty cool to see what color he is once he sheds out.  Lucky for us we will get the chance to see that as he has been purchased by our assistant, Heather.  He will grow up here on the ranch and we will get to watch him mature as Heather turns him into a ranch and performance horse and maybe eventually a mounted shooting horse.  We wish them all the best of luck. We will update pictures as we get them.
