Born 4-21-15. ‘Jayla’ is a sorrel filly with a left rear ankle, star and a snip that falls off the side of her nose. She is the second foal out of a mare with a slightly different bloodline for us.  Her dam is Zan Charm N Cash JW aka Charm, a chocolate palomino.  Charm was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses because we’ve based many of our mares on their PROVEN PROGRAM that has produced many VERY PROVEN ranch and family horses.  Charm’s sire is Grantier’s outcross stallion who is a grandson of Sun Frost, Caseys Charm who is a million dollar mare, and Miss N Cash by Dash For Cash.  Those names speak for themselves as to what Charm brings to the table regarding pedigree.  Charm’s bottomside is generations deep in traditional Grantier breeding.  Jayla is actually a name from Charm’s pedigree, Poco Jayla.  We are pleased to be able to re-use it.

Jayla’s sire is TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex.  This is Tex’s seventh foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them.  The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger.  Jayla’s older sister, Paddys Gin Mocha JW, is in TN with a repeat buyer and they are extremely pleased with how she is maturing. Jayla has that perfect speed/cowhorse pedigree and is bred for the ranch and arena. She is a bundle of muscle and will be for sale.

UPDATE 10-9-15  Jayla shed off to be a deep, rich, dark chestnut color.  She is friendly and inquisitive in the pasture and built with just a perfect balance between thick and stout and her femininity.  We feel she has the just right amount of muscle expression to make her a stand out cowhorse and still look like a girl doing it.  She will probably be in the 14-2 height range.
