Thanks Roberto!

Born 8-15-14.  Well this is latest foal we’ve ever had but she was definitely worth the wait. Raz’ is a blue roan filly with a star and a smidge of white coronet hairs on a hind foot.  We had a bit of fun with her name.  If you look at pictures of her mama, Peponita Roan Bar JW aka Strawberry, you will see a very dark chestnut roan mare that looks almost the color of a chocolate tootsie roll but when she was born she was as sorrel and roan as could be hence the name Strawberry as in strawberry roan. Then she shed a sort of blue color so we thought Blueberry? Then she got sort of dark and purple so we thought Raspberry? Anyway she never has been the color of a strawberry roan but the name just stuck. So along comes this little blue baby and we made a play on words with all the ‘berries’ and combined it with her grandsire, Peponita. Peponita Roan Bar JW is 92% foundation bred and registered with NFQHA. We raised her out of our mare, Fancy Roan Belle aka Roany who is a cornerstone mare for our program with several of her offspring and grand offspring retained by us. Her sire was Mr Salty Peponita. Strawberry has a very sweet personality and a feminine look to her. She has an awesome hip and is bred with a load of cow and an old fashioned foundation pedigree and she was fun to ride. Her Roan Bar/Peponita bloodlines only speaks for themselves. She will leave Peponita on the papers of foals.

Raz Ber Rita’s sire is JK Jay Reed aka Pine Cone, a 96% foundation bred stallion. The JK Jay Reed horses have a huge amount of ‘cow’. They are very smart, athletic, kind and fast learners. They are the kind of horses that can go any direction from the ranch to trail to show to rodeo. His pedigree speaks for itself and is as foundation bred as they come. Poco Pine, Continental King, Whiskey Bert, Joe Reed II are all on his papers. It is important to note that King P-234 is very close up in his pedigree and he traces to King a total of 6 times!

Raz is 94% foundation eligible with the NFQHA.  She should have a sweet disposition and will have the ability to go any direction.

UPDATE 10-4-15  We like to always offer some of our very best offspring to the public.  The dam and sire have been paired again for a 2016 foal as a testament that we like this pairing and we have decided to offer Raz for sale.  Raz was born very late in the summer last year and therefore not available to be purchased last fall as a weanling.  But here she is and she is gorgeous!  Please remember that with her August 2014 birthdate she has just barely turned 1 so don't compare her to March born yearlings.  By the time she's grown you will not ever know her birthdate.  Also, please note that Peponita is still on her papers!  Her price will only go up so don't wait too long on this one.
