Born 7-7-14. ‘Moose’ has two rear pasterns and no other white on him. This is the first foal out of this pairing and we are very pleased. Fancy Roan Belle is an awesome, proven 87% NFQHA proven mare who is a very integral part of our program.  She has one stallion standing at stud; we are riding her 2004 bay roan daughter, Docs Fancy Roan; have retained her 2008 strawberry roan daughter, Peponita Roan Bar JW and 2011 granddaughter, Paddys Gin Fanta JW aka Fanta for our program. Fanta had a successful show season in 2014 in reining and reined cowhorse.  We have also retained a 2014 grandson, Whiskey Up Crush JW, and 2014 granddaughter, Raz Ber Rita Reed JW, of this mare.  Let’s look at the mare’s pedigree deep in Reeves breeding from South Dakota--Fancy Roan Bar, Roan Bar, Bell Boy Bar, Tom Baker, Bar Nothing Springer and Bartender. You cannot ask for a better foundation, ranch, cow, or arena bloodline. This mare puts a very nice disposition on her foals. Moose is her 13th foal. This is a proven mare. Moose’s sire is JK Jay Reed aka Pine Cone, a 96% foundation bred stallion with Poco Pine, Continental King by King P-234, Joe Reed II and Whiskey Bert all on his papers. Pine Cone has King P-234 fairly close up and goes back to him six times. He is 91.5% NFQHA eligible. He will have plenty of cow and athleticism to make a great horse. He should be a perfect ‘crossover’ horse from pasture to arena and excel while doing it. After much consideration, Moose will be for sale as we have decided to keep Two Jacks Reed JW as a replacement stallion prospect instead.

UPDATE 2-2-15 Moose is a gentle and very nice colt. He is now sold and will join 2014 Paddys Gin Reed JW with a repeat buyer.  Thanks Jean!  Note that his name is derived from his appearance in his very bottom pictures as he was enjoying a good scratch.
