Born 6-5-09.  ‘Racer’ is a VERY flashy, stretchy bay filly with a super nice cowhorse and speed combination pedigree.  She’s got plenty of white to get her noticed with a nice blaze, two front white ankles and a rear left half stocking.  Her mother, Docs Dolly Expert, produces athletic babies with speed and style.  She is an appendix mare with Doc Bar on her papers going back to Jet Deck top and bottom through Jet Smooth and Shujet.  Her maternal grandsire was Deckabo (SI 102).  Dolly’s mother is an awesome mare that has been a broodmare, ranch mare and is currently our youngest son’s ranch, 4-H and family rodeo horse.  Racer’s sire is JK Jay Reed, a 96% foundation bred stallion with Poco Pine, Continental King, Joe Reed II and Whiskey Bert all on his papers.  Racer has three dark dots inside her blaze face in the shape of a slightly elongated barrel racing pattern.  It could be destiny!  This filly is bred to run and really could be your next barrel horse.  Asking $600 (US)

UPDATE 4-4-10.  Take a good look at this filly!!!  She was my pick for the year.  'Racer' is one awesome, power house of a filly and she has filled out with a nice wide chest, big hip and muscles in all the right places.  We cannot find fault in her.  Racer is also super friendly and interested in being your friend. She is AQHA Appendix registered with that combination of speed and cow.  Her chrome is very eye-catching and gives her a very distinct look.  She will definitely get noticed wherever she goes.  Her white ankles and stocking have developed black dots and her hooves are more dark than white at this point.  2009 is the first year JK Jay Reed offspring are offered to the public. You cannot ask for a better mare line on this filly---we really believe in them.  Our goal was to price them affordably to get them into the hands of people who will use them and prove them.  She is heading to Tennessee with the opportunity to compete in ranch horse competitions and maybe even get a chance to barrel race a bit.  Good luck to her new owners.  Her dam is bred back the same way for 2010.

UPDATE 7-4-14. Racer is now a jackpot barrel and pole bending horse for teenage girl and earning a few dollars! She has also had rope training and is really showing how athletic she is. We are extremely proud to watch this mare mature and can't wait to keep following how she does!
