Return to Previous Page

 DECEASED

Born 4/24/20 “Rem” is a bay roan stallion with white forehead hairs only and no other markings. We have chosen two themes this year to name our foals, one is using names of Texas cities or towns and the other to continue with western names for only our Whoop foals.  For our foals who aren’t by our stallions, we chose pedigree names.

This is West Texas Spring aka Remuda’s first foal. Remuda is by Paddys Irish Whiskey and was purchased at the 2017 Return to The Remuda Sale. We have always owned just Paddys sons, but this is our 3nd daughter. Paddys Irish Whiskey has NCHA earnings of $12,149 and was a Multiple Major Aged Event Finalist NCHA Money Earner. He is listed on a Leading Sire list each year since he was purchased by Paddys Irish Whiskey Syndicate, he is an NRCHA All-Time Leading Sire and an Equi-Stat All-Time Leading Reined Cow Horse Sire (2017). His foals have earned $1,547,700 and 4,820 AQHA points, 35 AQHA World/Res. World Championships including 2-time AQHA World Champion Versatility Ranch Horse Smart Whiskey Doc.  Paddys Irish Whiskey’s page on the 6666’s website includes our stallion, Top Gun Whiskey (also on our website), as one of his current performers. As per the 6666’s website, Paddys Irish Whiskey has earned the respect as a consistent sire of both class and high-end trainability for all walks of the reining and cowhorse worlds, siring champions in versatility ranch horse, reined cowhorse, cutting, reining, calf roping and team roping.  He is also a great broodmare sire.  He was a 2008 Equi-Stat Leading Cutting Maternal Grandsire, whose daughters have produced 33 money-earners totally $363,000 and averaging more than $11,000 in cutting, reining, reined cowhorse, ranch horse and roping events. Her dam, West Texas Flower, is a daughter of Mr Playinstylish, AQHA World Champion Junior Working Cow Horse; NRCHA Open Bridle Reserve National Champion out of Ginnin Woman by Tanquery Gin.

Rem’s sire is Metallic Malice a homozygous roan stallion whose first foals arrived in 2019.  His website states, “Metallic Malice is a bay roan stallion by the incredible sire Metallic Cat and out of HIGH BOON, a $100,000+ producing daughter of MECOM BLUE! Due to his previous owners declining health in his younger years, Malice was shown just a handful of times as an early 4 year old.  Malice went to Brad Lund in the middle of his 4 year old year. Brad quickly got him going in the heading, heeling and working cow horse. He was very successful that year, qualifying him for the 2018 AQHA World Show in Heading, Heeling, Cutting, Working Cow Horse and Performance Halter! Although he was green, Malice held his own in all the events that year. Current Earnings of over $5,000 NCHA/NRCHA,AQHA Register of Merit, AQHA Point Earner of 83+ points in 5 different events! He is a 2019 World Show Qualifier - Heading, Heeling, Working Cow Horse. Metallic Malice sticks at 15.0h and is incredibly good minded. His trainer states, "you will NOT find a better minded stallion anywhere!" Metallic Malice is one of the few stallions standing today that is 5 panel CLEAN AND HOMOZYGOUS ROAN! His size, bone, color and mind set him apart from any other performance stallions available!

We are very excited about this baby and as of right now have plans to keep him for further evaluation.
