Born 4-29-21 “Rhubarb” a bay roan filly with no white on her at all. This year our names are flower/tree/rangeland plants themed. It stuck when our first foal was born and we started calling her ‘Posie’ which means a ‘bunch of flowers’. So, we decided to go with it.
She is the 2nd from her dam, Paddys Gin Bay JW and also a full sibling to the 2019 foal. This mare is one we raised. She is the daughter of My Kittys Melody JW, granddaughter of our senior stallion JK Jay Reed and a daughter of our oldest Paddys’ son, TRR Paddys Texas Gin. Needless to say, Bay is very deeply rooted within our program and we couldn’t be prouder or more excited for this foal. Her 2019 foal, Mei Bartender JW, went to LA.
Rhubarb’s sire, Jacks Our Bartender, is a son of Bartenders Memory by Two ID Bartender and out of a granddaughter of Two Eyed Jack, Watch Miss Jo Jackie, born in 2003. Unfortunately, due to a stifle injury from being kicked by a mare, Jack was not able to stay sound enough to enter the show ring but was able to prove his athletic ability. Since then several of his colts have ended up in the roping arena and continue to prove their athleticism and great minds. By 2015 Hockenson’s realized that he was producing some really great roping horses and decided to see if they could keep his stifle sound enough to show and sure enough in a very short time he quickly earned 5.5 AQHA Heading Points of his own proving that his offspring accomplishments were not by chance. He is a great horse to be around and out produces himself every time. Jack has 3 AQHA performing offspring. Many of his other foals have gone on to be great rodeo horses or rope horses competing and earning money in different associations.
She should be a nice sized athletic foal with the ability to excel either on the ranch or in the arena. This is a special and fancy, friendly filly!
