Thanks Willie!

Born 5-3-13. We are having a little fun by using a Dance theme for names this year. Disco is a flashy sorrel stud colt with a star, two rear stockings and white pasterns on the front. Docs Queen Rose aka Rose aka Speckles or Speckles Rose is a very easy mannered mare that does a nice job raising her foals. Her paternal grandsire was Docs Flying Bar and he stood at Texas A&M University. Through him, she still has Doc Bar on her papers and Jet Smooth and Mr San Peppy just off her papers. Her bottom side may not have great names close up, but she is still a very well bred mare. Her bottom goes back to Skipper W, Three Bars, Gold Mount, Ed Echols, Oklahoma Star, Joe Reed II, Piggin String, Flying Bob, and even Man O'War to name a few. Big Sonsation was a great-grandson of King. This is her first foal with TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex and he is a looker. This is Tex’s fifth foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. Disco’s maternal brothers are both very mellow geldings. 2009, Roses King Reed JW is in California and is used for trail riding in the mountains. 2010 Roses Joe Reed JW was purchased by Micheal Schlegel with Schlegel Horse Training. He was started very nicely and they like him a lot. Both Disco’s dam and sire have very even temperaments and he should inherit that even disposition with plenty of cow instinct as well as a shot of speed.  We really like him so far. HERDA N/HDR (Please review Disco’s Information).

UPDATE 10-13-13.  Disco continues to be a top colt and he is most likely under priced for his quality.  He is very stylish and pretty mellow in his disposition.  He is in the process of being halter broke.  More pictures and video available upon request.  These most recent pictures were taken 9-4-13.  He has continued to grow and fill out but is still just as fine on the eyes.
