Born 4-21-13. We are having a little fun by using a Dance theme for names this year. ‘Boogie’ is a super nice, flashy bay granddaughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. She has a blace face and two even half stockings on the rear. Her dam, Mujer Lady Dial JW aka Tiff, is one of our Mujer Tacky Jay daughters. She is 81% NFQHA and was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses because her mare line is very close to several of our VERY PROVEN ranch horses. Mujer Tacky Jay, now deceased, made a name for himself producing using horses for the family, ranch, arena and youth. We really believe in these horse families. We really like Tiff’s stout build and kind personality. Her foals should be a very friendly and well-put-together with this mare as their mama. Her 2010 buckskin filly, Paddys Gin Dakota JW, 2011 bay colt, Paddys Gin Boba JW, and 2012 palomino filly, Paddys Gin Sage JW have all stayed in ND. All four of her foals are by TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex. The Dakota filly was started under saddle last year and they are roping and ranching on her this year. Boba is owned by Cody Schlegel with Schlegel Horse Training and is being started successfully this spring. Cody is currently 13 years old. The Sage filly is owned by our ranch assistant and she was their ‘pick’ from the 2012 foal crop. We are excited to watch her mature and develop nearby. This is Tex’s fifth foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. Boogie is very fitting for her name as she ‘boogies’ around out in the pasture. She is going to be a fun mare. She is still very feminine even though she is so athletic. The disposition on her siblings is fantastic and we would recommend Boogie as a youth or 4-H horse. HERDA N/HDR (Please review Boogie’s Information).
UPDATE 11-14-14 Boogie turned out to be another proven cross between her dam and sire. She will be joining others with a repeat buyer in North Carolina. We are excited to hear how she matures!
