Born 7-19-15. There is a chance she will roan and we are going to wait to name her until we know for sure. ‘Juno’ is a brown filly with no white markings. She is the third foal out of a mare with a slightly different bloodline for us. Her dam is Zan Frost N Dash JW aka Blue, a true blue roan. Blue was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses because we’ve based many of our mares on their PROVEN PROGRAM that has produced many VERY PROVEN ranch and family horses. Blue’s sire is Grantier’s outcross stallion who is a grandson of Sun Frost, Caseys Charm who is a million dollar mare, and Miss N Cash by Dash For Cash. Those names speak for themselves as to what Blue brings to the table regarding pedigree. Blue’s bottomside is generations deep in traditional Grantier breeding. Juno’s sire is TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex. This is Tex’s seventh foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. Juno has that perfect speed/cowhorse pedigree and is bred for the ranch and arena. Her full 2013 brother, Paddys Gin Tango JW, developed more than fantastically. We are really pleased with this cross. Tango is now in Montana as an all-around ranch prospect. Her 2014 full brother, Paddys Gin Dash JW, was injured after weaning last year and is no longer with us but he was a very thick solid horse. She is looking to be an exact carbon copy of those two in a female package. She will also be a well put together athletic horse. Juno should have all the right moves and look to her to go in any direction desired. She will be for sale.
UPDATE 12-7-15. Juno is younger than many of the other foals with her July birthday. She is almost 5 months in her most recent pictures and she is a wonderful example of a shapey cowhorse! Her disposition is spot on and she will be a wonderful horse. Our assistant has purchased her so we get to see her stick around and grow up.
