Thanks Liz!

Born 4-17-21 “Honeysuckle” aka Honey is a buckskin filly with a blaze, right hind white pastern and a left hind partial pastern to the inside.  This year our names are flower/tree themed. It stuck when our first foal was born and we started calling her ‘Posie’ which means a ‘bunch of flowers’. So, we decided to go with it.

This is the first foal for dam, Whiskey N Ginn, a sorrel mare we purchased in 2017 to add another Paddys Irish Whiskey daughter to cross with our newer stallion, Jacks Our Bartender or our other foundation bred stallion, Walter O Rielly. We have always owned several Paddys sons, but this is our 2nd daughter. As per the 6666’s website, Paddys Irish Whiskey has earned the respect as a consistent sire of both class and high-end trainability for all walks of the reining and cowhorse worlds, siring champions in versatility ranch horse, reined cowhorse, cutting, reining, calf roping and team roping. He is also a great broodmare sire.  What makes Ginn fun for us, is her bottom side. Her dam, Ginnin Cowgirl, is an own daughter of Tanquery Gin. Tanquery Gin is an NRCHA all-time leading maternal grandsire, NCHA all-time leading maternal grandsire and Equi-Stat all-time leading cutting sire of foals, earning over $2.3 million. His daughters have produced foals earning more than $2.7 million & 5,470 AQHA points.

Honey’s sire is Walter O Rielly aka Radar.  He has become a great addition to our program, and this is his 9th foal crop for us. We were looking for a foundation Driftwood bred stallion to hopefully get some replacement fillies out of some of our better mares. Radar is a 90.234% foundation bred perlino stallion who goes to King P-234 ten times, to Driftwood four times with strong doses of Joe Reed, Three Bars and a little Doc Bar. Radar is a 16 hand horse with a huge stride and a gentle personality. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level.

Honey is a very nice foundation and cutting bred foal. This is an exciting experiment for us and so far we are pleased with what we see. All of Radar’s foals have wonderful dispositions and are BIG horses that can cover some ground out in the open.
