Return to Previous Page

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we only had interns until the middle of June and are currently without any which we usually have through December of each year. Therefore, we have been delayed with getting our 34 foals on the website & Facebook. Please be patient with us.  We know many folks have been messaging and calling. We won’t have any additional help with halter breaking this fall and are pricing all colts and fillies for the same price of $2000 each with $2250 if they are colored with cream, gray or roan. We will honor the 10% discount for repeat and multiple buyers. We reserve the right to keep which we want for ourselves and to keep some at a higher price. Halter training will be basic and gentled but not to the same degree some of you may be used to.  They will be weaned and eating good for 2 weeks. Genetic testing will be sent in but will be listed as pending for those with no results yet.  Whoop Up Whiskey has a 50/50 chance as GBED carrier; TRR Paddys Texas Gin has a 50/50 chance as HERDA carrier; and handful of mares with have a 50/50 chance as either one or both of those two disorders.

Born 5-9-24. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we decided to go with a space theme.  Many of these names are a little loose in thoughts regarding if they are planets, stars, or things found in space.  This filly is named Sedna. Sedna is a dwarf planet on the outer reaches of the solar system.

‘Sedna’ is a bay filly with an off side star and both white rear feet. Her dam is HQ Jacked Up Lights aka Charlotte. We were specifically shopping for young replacement fillies with the Two Eyed Jack/Pitzer bloodlines to pair up with any of our Paddys Irish Whiskey sons as some of our older mares with those lines have already niched very well with our Paddys stallions.  She was the second foal crop from her now deceased sire, CD Cyna Dee, owned by Hockenson Quarter Horses in Iowa This stallion they called “Lights” made a name for himself in the cowhorse world in his short life. CD Cyna Dee was an AQHA point earner in 10 events including, working cowhorse, tie-down roping, heeling, heading, reining, ranch riding, cutting, performance halter, poles and barrels. He had an LTE of $26,569 in NRCHA, NRHA and ARHFA. He was a 22X AQHA World Show Qualifier and placed 12th in the 2017 AQHA World Finals in Junior Heading. He earned his AQHA Open Superior in 2017 as well.  He was also the 2017 SDRCHA Jr. Cowhorse of the year.  As of 2023 his offspring has won over $88K and he has produced 2 AQHA Reserve World Champions. Unfortunately Lights passed way too soon, but his offspring continues to make a name for him. Charlotte’s dam is a Pitzer bred mare. We purchased her full 2017 sister HQ CD Boogi Lights before Charlotte whom we are still ranching on and just started mounted shooting in 2023.  We love the idea of having 2 full sisters in our program from this dam and sire! Charlotte’s first foal, Whiskey Up Salmon JW, is a beautiful bay filly that is still for sale.

Her sire is Whoop Up Whiskey. ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. This is his 11th foal crop. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile.  A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW sons is the dam pedigree. Whoop’s dam goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are breaking out really kind and level headed.

Sedna should be a nice all around prospect with a lot of style. She will be able to excel in the arena or on the ranch as well. We are seeing a lot of that style and grace in these Whoop babies.  She is a Whoop daughter so has a 50/50 chance of being a GBED carrier. Check info below.
