Once again we find ourselves WITHOUT any interns heading into this fall to assist with halter breaking our 2025 foals. We started last March with hiring 5 interns for May-Aug and May-Dec and for various reasons they are no longer here. Our daughter is expecting baby #3 in November and will only be able to assist for a little longer and will stay on maternity leave until spring 2026. We have too many great stud colts and fillies that express roan, cream, dun and gray to let them stand around all fall and winter. Without assistance to halter break we will be discounting their prices (15 colts and 5 fillies) to get them moved on to new homes. We are super proud of our 2025 foals and very proud of many of our stallions. This pricing will have them vaccinated, boostered, dewormed, handled 2 times (maybe more), weaned and eating well for 2 weeks before travel. Our standard 10% discount for multiple or repeat buyers will still stand. We reserve the right to leave some 2025 foals at their original prices. Those not listed below are being retained by us as of now. We will talk personally, with those of you who have already placed a down payment on your foals and come to an agreement with each of you to make this fair to you our loyal customers. Jacks Our Bartender has been declining and we will soon be preg checking his mares that pastured with him this summer. Could be that these 2025s are his last offspring. His bloodline will remain in our program through his daughters and a 2024 stallion prospect we have retained. We have color testing results on most of these foals.

Born 5-24-25. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we have chosen movie themes for our different stallions. Top Gun Whiskey foals will be named after the Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie.  Next year we will do similar call signs from the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit themed names. This filly is named Kili (kee-lee). Kíli was the son of Dís, the sister of King Thorin, and brother of Fíli. Kíli was one of the thirteen Dwarves who took part in the quest for Erebor, which was Bilbo Baggins 's great adventure.  Even though Kili is a guys name, we felt that it could also work for a female.

‘Kili’ is a bay filly with a large white star, and both rear white above the ankles.  Her dam is HQ Jacks Rojavaquera.  We were specifically shopping for young replacement fillies with the Two Eyed Jack/Pitzer bloodlines to pair up with any of our Paddys Irish Whiskey sons as some of our older mares with those lines have already niched very well with our Paddys stallions.  We absolutely love her sire, Jacks Our Bartender, and his pedigree with Two Eyed Jack and Two ID Bartender. We purchased Vaquera first and then went back to Hockenson’s to purchase Jack. We hope to retain additional Jack daughters. The Jackie Bee on Vaquera’s bottomside is a new line to our program and we are excited to see how that plays out along with the Skipper W and Sonny Dee Bar. Her 2019 foal, Whiskey Up Shang JW, stuck around until his coming 2 year old spring, so we were able to watch him mature. He was nice and ended up going to TX. Her 2021 foal, Whiskey Up Chives JW, went with a repeat buyer in NV. Her 2022 foal, Whiskey Up Squid JW, is a nice bay filly that went to a repeat buyer in Montana. Her 2023 foal, Whiskey Up Zinc JW, is sold. Her 2024 bay filly, Whiskey Up Europa JW, is now in ID.

Her sire is Whoop Up Whiskey . ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. This is his 12th foal crop. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile.  A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW sons is the dam pedigree. Whoop’s dam goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are breaking out really kind and level headed.

Kili should be a nice all around prospect with a lot of style. She will be able to excel in the arena or on the ranch as well. We are seeing a lot of that style and grace in these Whoop babies.  Fun fact is that Vaquera is a Jack daughter who produced a Whoop kiddo.  We have another mare who is a Whoop daughter that produced a Jack son.  It is very rewarding to see our program develop this way. This filly is a Whoop daughter and could have a 50/50 chance of being a GBED carrier.  The Vaquera and Whoop foals have quickly become a very popular cross. They are solid, kind, steady ranch horses.
