Born 4-29-15. ‘ DD’ is a 88% NFQHA (F0039276) palomino filly with a blaze face and left front white foot. She is the second foal from this pairing and lucky us we got a filly! Her mother is one of our Mujer Tacky Jay daughters and is really impressing us with the quality of foals she’s producing for us. Mujer Lily Dancer JW aka Lily is 84% NFQHA and was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses as a weanling. Mujer Tacky Jay, now deceased, made a name for himself producing using horses for the family, ranch, arena and youth. There are a lot of great horses in Lily’s pedigree from Jet Deck and Leo Tag just off her papers to other greats Three Bars, Poco Bueno and old time horses like Old Sorrel. Lily also fantastically goes back to King 9 times! We really believe in these well established horse families and in Lily’s mare line as she is so closely bred to many of our great saddle horses. She has produced three previous foals all by our stallion, JK Jay Reed. 2011 Princess Leia Reed JW has joined a breeder in Texas. 2012 beautiful black filly Lily Dancer Reed JW is still here at the ranch with us as a broodmare prospect. 2013 gorgeous black filly Jitterbug Reed JW joined a family ranch in MO. 2014 foal, Lily King Drift JW, is by our stallion Radar and has joined a previous buyer in TN.
DD’s sire, Walter O Rielly aka Radar, is new to our program and this is his third foal crop for us. We were looking for a foundation Driftwood bred stallion to hopefully get some replacement fillies out of some of our better mares. Radar is a 90.234% foundation bred perlino stallion that goes to King P-234 ten times, to Driftwood four times with strong doses of Joe Reed, Three Bars and a little Doc Bar. Radar is a 16 hand horse with a huge stride and a gentle personality. We are so pleased with this filly! DD is going to have some speed and stride and be able to cover ground. Don’t forget that she goes back to King P-234 a combined 19 times!! Both dam and sire are 5 Panel Genetic Disease N/N so she is also N/N. DD is 87% foundation eligible with the NFQHA.
DD was exposed to Whoop Up Whiskey for a 2020 foal and had a buckskin filly, Whiskey Up Aspen JW that we have retained for our program. She intentionally had 2021 off as we usually do for our first time mares. She is bred the same way for 2022 and ultrasounded as such on 11-2-21. Her foals with Whoop will always be black legged so color choices will be either bay or buckskin if she expresses her cream gene. In our program a buckskin stud colt would price & sell for $4000.
