Born 5-17-22. ‘Mr Krabs’ is dun stallion with a snip and rear right pastern. This year our names are ocean plants and animals themed. Mr Krabs is an animated character but we always have some fun with Baby Ruth’s foals.
Please read about the dam, Baby Ruth, and you will see why she is important to our family. Thyme will not be able to be registered with AQHA, but his background is all quarter horse. Baby Ruth is an athlete, and this colt should be too with a proven background and not a thing wrong with him other than the lack of AQHA papers. You don’t ride the papers and if papers don’t matter to you, he should easily have a future as a riding athlete. Thyme’s bloodlines are accurate even without the papers to prove it. This is the perfect chance to get a foal with cow, looks and history at a much-discounted price. Baby Ruth had twelve full siblings. Her 2009 dun foal, Taz, went to Tennessee where she is now registered with IBHA and has stood 3rd in the world for American Ranch Horse Association (ARHA) for yearling mares and 6th in 2 and under youth mares in 2010. She was started under saddle there and had one foal for them. We had the chance to acquire her back and are ranching on her. Taz is very mellow and wonderful to have back! 2010 dun stud colt, Yogi, is in Kentucky, started under saddle and we continue to hear good things about him. 2011 Yoda has been started on a ranch in Nebraska. 2012 Muff is in Tennessee with a repeat buyer purchase. 2013 filly, Shimmy, went to be the family ranch horse in Oklahoma. Baby Ruth’s 2014 filly, Chile, was injured as a weanling and is unfortunately no longer with us. 2015 stallion, Snuffleupagus, was in California and then on to Calgary Canada; 2016 Maverick is now in Michigan with a great family. Her 2017 full sibling, Cricket, was sold to a sweet family near the ND/SD border. 2018 Sibling, Sunkist, went to WY. 2019 foal, The Matchmaker, went to be with a repeat buyer and her 2017 full sister, Cricket, in MN. She had another dun stallion by JK Jay Reed for 2020, Nacogdoches. Later in 2020 we switched gears since JK Jay Reed has passed, and Baby Ruth was exposed to TRR Paddy Texas Gin she had a bay stallion that was outstanding, Thyme, that is now in MS.
Mr Krabs's sire is TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex. This is Tex’s 14th foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop, they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger.
This colt is FANTASTIC! We are so excited to watch him come together. Although he is grade, this is a great chance to get a “Tex” foal as a discounted price. This guy should have plenty of ability to do anything athletic.
