 DECEASED

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we only had interns until the middle of June and are currently without any which we usually have through December of each year. Therefore, we have been delayed with getting our 34 foals on the website & Facebook. Please be patient with us.  We know many folks have been messaging and calling. We won’t have any additional help with halter breaking this fall and are pricing all colts and fillies for the same price of $2000 each with $2250 if they are colored with cream, gray or roan. We will honor the 10% discount for repeat and multiple buyers. We reserve the right to keep which we want for ourselves and to keep some at a higher price. Halter training will be basic and gentled but not to the same degree some of you may be used to.  They will be weaned and eating good for 2 weeks. Genetic testing will be sent in but will be listed as pending for those with no results yet.  Whoop Up Whiskey has a 50/50 chance as GBED carrier; TRR Paddys Texas Gin has a 50/50 chance as HERDA carrier; and handful of mares with have a 50/50 chance as either one or both of those two disorders.

Born 4-25-24. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we decided to go with a space theme.  Many of these names are a little loose in thoughts regarding if they are planets, stars, or things found in space.  This filly is named Nebula. A nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space. Nebulae can be formed by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova, or by the collapse of gas and dust that leads to the birth of new stars. The word nebula comes from Latin and means "cloud".

‘Nebula’ is a bay filly with two rear white pasterns, a star and snip. Her dam, My Kittys Melody JW, is one of our own JK Jay Reed aka Pine Cone daughters. Melody is 91% NFQHA. Her pedigree is solid with good dispositions all around and Melody has had a friendly disposition since birth. Melody has a very feminine face, gorgeous neck, kind eye, good bone, nice hip and as a plus, her mane ALL goes to the right giving her a very clean look. She was started under saddle when she was three and she did very well. She started her ranch work career in 2013 and showed the right amount of ‘cow’ to enter the broodmare bunch. Her 2015 foal Paddys Gin Bay JW stayed with us and had 2 foals before we unfortunately lost her. We also kept Melody’s 2017 foal, My Sandra Drift JW for one of our ranching and broodmare prospects, but we also lost her.  Her 2019 filly, My Little Boon San, is another one of hers we have retained and is expecting a 2023 foal.  We offered her 2020 colt, Whiskey Up Latigo JW, for sale and he went with a repeat buyer. Her 2021 foal, Top Gun Sycamore JW, went to TX as a broodmare prospect for the 6666’s stallion manager personal remuda. Her 2022 foal, Top Gun Riptide JW, was a very nice colt. Her 2023 foal. Top Gun Titanium JW, has sold.

Nebula’s sire is Whoop Up Whiskey . ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. This is his 11th foal crop. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile.  A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW sons is the dam pedigree. Whoop’s dam goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are breaking out really kind and level headed.

Nebula should be a nice all-around prospect with a lot of style. She will be able to excel in the arena or on the ranch as well. We are seeing a lot of that style and grace in these Whoop babies.  She is deceased.
